” Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champs,” the GOAT of gymnastics captioned the post. She didnt discuss her former colleagues name, fans believed that Simone was subtly calling out MyKayla over her previous remarks about current gymnasts.

In June, a video went viral of MyKayla criticizing modern-day gymnasts over their absence of “skill” and “work ethic.”
” Besides Simone, I seem like the depth and the talent simply isnt like what it used to be,” MyKayla stated in the clip. “Just see, like, I suggest, certainly a lot of ladies do not work as hard. The women simply do not have the work ethic.”
Márta was the primary planner for U.S. Olympic gymnasts and is understood for her stringent training methods.
” And Im not sticking up for Márta or stating what she did was excellent, Im simply stating it was different,” MyKayla added. “So anyway, sorry for anything that got out of context or appeared painful. That is never ever my intention. And seriously, throughout the video, I was so pumped for the women, and it was so enjoyable enjoying trials and doing a cope with everybody.”
According to a follow-up declaration shared through X, MyKayla asked forgiveness to the gymnastics community, firmly insisting that it was “not [her] intention to upset or disrespect any of the professional athletes or to remove from their hard work.”
” Your hard work and commitment has actually paid off, and I praise each and every one of you,” she continued in her declaration. “Upon reflection, I was comparing the Marta Era to the present period. I am coming to terms that I have not totally dealt with the emotional and spoken abuse I withstood under Marta that maybe led to my upsetting comments.
MyKayla previously competed as an individual in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was an alternate at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Simone competed in both video games.
