FlightAware information showed the airplane, a twin-engine turboprop ATR-72, departed at 11:50 a.m. local time and was scheduled to land right before 2 p.m
. One woman in Vinhedo, Brazil, said she heard the plane before she saw it.
” I heard a very loud noise, very close to me. I thought it was a drone. I admired the sky and saw the airplane spinning,” Nathalie Cicari informed CNN.
At a briefing Friday afternoon, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said, “I need to be the bearer of actually problem,” and required a minute of silence to honor the 58 guests and four crew members aboard the aircraft that crashed in Vinhedo, a city northwest of São Paulo.
The cause of the crash is unidentified, he stated, however added, “It appears all have actually passed away.”
In a social networks post, Voepass, a local airline based in São Paulo state, validated that its aircraft, flight 2283, had crashed. The aircraft departed from Cascavel, a Brazilian city near the countrys southern border with Paraguay and Argentina, and was headed to Guarulhos, just outside São Paulo, Voepass stated in its post.

Another eyewitness, Felipe Magalhaes, told Reuters that he heard the aircraft as it was falling. Speaking in Portuguese, he said he watched out of his window simply as it crashed. He hurried to the wreckage, not simply to see however to try and help individuals in the community.
” The way it fell– I ran out of your home and visited where it had fallen and saw it had crashed into your house of a couple of elderly individuals. We also knew them from church. Horrified and not understanding what to do, I jumped over the wall,” Magalhaes said.
A man who missed out on the flight told Brazilian news outlet Globo that a minimum of 10 individuals were waiting at the wrong gate and missed out on the flight before it took off.
” They said to me, Mister, youre not getting on this aircraft because were already past the boarding limitation. I even pressed them a little. Mister, put me on this plane, I have to go, then he stated, Theres no method, what I can do is rebook your ticket,” the unnamed guy stated.
