Princess Diana was noteworthy for her charm and grace, effortlessly connecting with individuals regardless of turbulent relationships within the royal household and extreme public scrutiny.

Today on Instagram and X, veteran buddy Sarah Ferguson, 64, posted a throwback image of herself standing side-by-side with Diana on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, watching the Battle of Britain Anniversary Parade on September 15, 1990.

She captioned the picture, “Happy birthday to my dear good friend, Diana. I will forever remember our laughter and the kindred, kind spirit I found in you. Rest in peace my good friend.”
Princess Diana and Fergie ended up being royal sisters-in-law through their particular marriages to the future King Charles and Prince Andrew, but they were friends given that their teenage years.
In 2023, the Duchess of York shared some memories on an interview with The View while adding how much she misses her good friend.
” I miss my pal, since she was more of a mommy to me than my own mother, and she was so incredible. She was so forgiving, and she didnt evaluate me, and she utilized to say to me, Just be yourself, Sarah. One day youll be alright.”

On July 1, 2021, her kids reunited at their childhood home of Kensington Palace to reveal a brand-new statue of their mom in honor of what would have been Princess Dianas 60th birthday. The tribute, situated in the Sunken Garden, depicts Diana with 3 children, reflecting her devotion to supporting and supporting kids worldwide.
” Today, on what would have been our Mothers 60th birthday, we remember her strength, character and love– qualities that made her a force for good worldwide, changing numerous lives for the much better,” the brothers said in a joint statement. “Every day, we want she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen permanently as a sign of her life and her tradition.”
