After using her a complimentary cup of tea, Martha locks onto Donny and visits him at the bar every night. While coming to terms with his underlying individual struggles, concerning his sexuality and being raped in the past, Donny finally reports Martha to the police.
Infant Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd has responded to Fiona Harveys lawsuit against Netflix. After Harvey took legal action against the streaming platform over her supposed portrayal as the character Martha Scott, Gadd firmly insisted that the miniseries and his one-man program are “fictionalized,” according to a new court filing.
,” the actor and writer composed in the court documents. “I did not write the series as a representation of real realities about any genuine person, consisting of Fiona Harvey.”
Gadd added, “Martha Scott is not Fiona Harvey” and went on to note that his “personal struggles with my sexual identity, and experiences with sexual abuse, harassment, and stalking, motivated me to star and write in the theatre variation of Baby Reindeer, and subsequently, the series.”
” The series is a remarkable work,” he described in the court files. While the series is based on my life and real-life events and is, at its core, mentally real, it is not a beat-by-beat recounting of the emotions and occasions I experienced as they took place.

Since the show is based upon real events from Gadds life, Harvey spoke up against him and claimed that she has dealt with criticism because of Baby Reindeer.
According to his new court filing, Gadd pointed out that he “utilized my experiences to craft the Martha character particularly to both feed into Donnys desperate need for attention and self-confidence issues and challenge him in methods that make him face his past abuse and its results on him.”
Although he firmly insisted that the series is not a representation of the real-life Harvey, Gadd explained that her previous supposed harassment of him consisted of “countless e-mails, hundreds of voicemails, and a variety of handwritten letters,” a number of which were “raunchy, violent” with “derogatory content, despiteful speech, and dangers.”
” The cumulative effect of all of Harveys actions was enormous,” he claimed in the court docs. “It was exhausting and incredibly disturbing to handle her continuous personal interactions in the Hawley Arms, her following me around London consisting of near where I lived and her unrelenting and deeply undesirable communications.”
Gadd concluded that this was “a worrying and extremely stressful time” dealing with Harveys supposed harassment.
